Aggreko has expanded its Canadian rental fleet with three Tier 4 Final diesel generators rated at 145 kW, 210 kW and 1200 kW, each configured for work on remote Canadian job sites. The units are offered exclusively to Canadian contractors and are built to meet the market and regulatory requirements those customers work under, the company said.
All three models are CSA and UN31A compliant, covering Canadian electrical and fuel regulations. Aggreko says the generators carry its latest technologies to deliver reliable, low-emissions power for a range of commercial and industrial applications.
1200 kW unit drops the step-up transformer
The 1200 kW model adds onboard 600V capability. According to Aggreko, producing 600V directly eliminates the need for additional step-up transformers, which in turn reduces project complexity, improves cost-efficiency and minimizes potential points of failure. The company describes that configuration as a competitive edge for large industrial loads, where 600V is frequently required.
Canopy units and the large-load model
The 145 kW and 210 kW models are canopy units that Aggreko describes as readily deployable for immediate energy needs, intended to be moved and commissioned quickly for short-notice requirements. The 1200 kW unit is positioned for large industrial loads. Together the three additions extend a Canadian range that already runs from 25 kW to 1200 kW.
Why Canada, in Aggreko's account
Paul Nascimento, managing director for Canada at Aggreko, said tailoring the company's most advanced generators for Canadian customers underscores how important the market is to the business. He cited large petrochemical and mining industries that need power across vast, remote territories, alongside active construction and data centre sectors, as the basis for what he described as clear Canadian demand for engineered energy solutions that are both powerful and precisely configured. The Canadian Tier 4 Final generators are suited to that demand, he said, because they pair Aggreko's latest technologies with hardware tailored to the specific requirements of operating in Canada.
Service network and target sectors
Aggreko's network of Canadian service centres supports the deployment of temporary power for customers in data centres, construction, oil and gas, mining and events, with the company's energy experts working with those customers on a range of applications.
Emissions, noise and off-grid data centre power
Aggreko says all three generators provide fuel efficiency, ultra-low emissions and significantly controlled noise levels that surpass local requirements. The company also points to Canada's expanding data centre industry, where provincial regulators are looking to limit how much power operators pull from the grid. In that situation, the Tier 4 Final units are presented as off-grid energy that keeps data centres operational while remaining minimally disruptive to surrounding communities.
