Mace Construct will begin trading under the name Forco from the New Year, the UK contractor has said, describing the new name as short, impactful and easy to pronounce.
The change follows the separation of Mace Construct and Mace Consult into two separate businesses in March, under an agreement that Mace Consult would retain the Mace brand.
The contractor will keep trading as Mace Construct until the end of the year. It will then move forward as Forco, with a new corporate strategy to be presented alongside productivity targets running through to 2030.
Mark Reynolds, Executive Chair, said the business — known as Mace Construct for 35 years and soon to be Forco — had been raising standards and helping to drive the industry forward over that period. He said the new name reflects a commitment to being the UK's most forward-thinking contractor and its most productive by 2030.
Reynolds added that although the name and brand are changing, the qualities that made the company one of the UK's most respected contractors are unchanged: its culture, its values and the people who have underpinned its success. Clients, he said, can expect the same teams, the same commitment to delivery and the same drive to create places and infrastructure that last.
