Packaging distributor Rajapack UK has adopted the name RAJA UK, aligning its UK operation with the RAJA Group name used elsewhere in Europe. The Bedfordshire-based supplier said it serves more than 43,000 UK businesses and has done so since 1998.

The company is part of the RAJA Group, which was founded in France in 1954 by Rachel Marcovici and Janine Rocher. According to the company, the founders’ first names produced the RAJA name. Operating under the group identity is intended to give customers one recognisable brand across the 19 European countries the group serves.

Tom Rodda, managing director of RAJA UK, said that while the name had changed, the staff, product range and next-day service were unchanged. He also pointed to a free tool designed to support peak planning by estimating the cost of the busiest weeks.

The free Prepare for Peak tool is being offered alongside the name change. It is designed to help businesses estimate what peak will cost their packing operation and what they could save ahead of Black Friday on 27 November. Users select their industry to see how far orders typically rise at peak, based on benchmarks that combine Office for National Statistics retail data with RAJA order data from 2023 to 2025. They then enter their own figures, such as parcels per day and the number of people packing.

RAJA UK describes the output as an illustrative estimate rather than a quotation. The tool therefore offers a planning indication, not a binding price for a company’s peak-season packing costs.
